At last, Gemini planet ruler Mercury is no longer Retrograde. The communication planet is gaining forward speed and we are able to get traction on tech, transportation, information plans, etc. A perfect time to implement ideas that have been percolating or launch projects that have been stuck for awhile. There will be a New Moon in this talkative, flexible, versatile 3rd Zodiac sign on June 4, 2016.
The Moon is considered “New” when the Sun and Moon are in the same Astrology sign. The universe encourages us to begin, initiate and create. When the Lunar orb is in clever, intellectual Gemini, we will want to teach, learn, share thoughts, tell stories at length regardless of who wants to listen. So get your facts straight. (Short and sweet works best sometimes. And remember, silence is a form of communication too 😎 )

All things Taurus! The Sun has been in this sensual, security minded, 2nd sign of the Zodiac since 4/19 and on Friday May 6, 2016 the New Moon will join it. With both luminaries in Venus ruled, earthy Taurus, its influences in areas of romance, beauty, creativity and money are intensified. Could it be time for a new love, a new style, a new budget? Why not?
New Moons support fresh beginnings and Taurus urges us to think about how to build and maintain a comfortable, secure life. With this sign’s legendary determination, you can manage your cash and still be good to yourself and loved ones. Create new ways to do it.

This Saturday, January 9. 2016, Capricorn traits get a boost and will be enhanced – work, ambition, persistence. “New” energy can give us the push to start the year with plans to accomplish goals, advance a career, clear a space to achieve. New Moons are always full of “beginning” possibilities and with this 10th sign of the Zodiac, although not as perky and upbeat as the sign before it, Sagittarius, there is no need to slow down or get sluggish here.
Capricorn can supply the pragmatism and discipline to go forward and pursue a path to success. Even though the Lunar orb will change signs into Aquarius on Sunday afternoon, New Moon energy lasts for about 10 days.
Start something, create something, plan something
* Capricorn New Moon: 1/9/16 – 8:30 PM EST / 5:30 PM PST
A New Moon on Friday December 11, 2015 could set us up to enjoy more days of retail therapy. Festive spirits and holiday energy are there to be tapped into. Actually, when the Lunar orb is “New” it’s a great time to launch, create, kick-off, and / or start something regardless of the season. Sagittarius’ good nature and love of adventure are tweaked while both luminaries are in this upbeat Fire sign. We feel lucky, optimistic and of course will find the greatest bargain, the perfect gift, the bestest tree. Or, you can hang out with family and friends – socializing works.
With a Sagittarius Moon, taking chances, taking risks can seem very attractive and stimulating. An enthusiastic “we can-do-anything” frame of mind is a definite trait of this Jupiter, the lucky planet, ruled Fire sign. However, no matter how great the scheme sounds, you still must stay grounded enough to get all the facts (an exact measurement for the Bungee drop rope is a good idea). But, it’s nice to know that the universe and lunar energy are on your side.
*New Moon December 11, 2015 – 5:29 AM EST / 2:29 AM PST
FYI = “New Moon” energy lasts for approximately 10 days.
The Sun moved into Water sign Scorpio on October 23 and on Wednesday, November 11, it will be the Moon’s turn. Since both the Sun and the Lunar orb are in the same sign, (which is what makes a Moon phase “New”), all the passionate, emotional, sensitive vibes of this 8th sign of the Zodiac are powered up, intensified.
The New Moon is great for beginnings, starting something – businesses, diets, exercise programs, etc. When in Scorpio, ruled by transformational planet Pluto, it gives us the depth to be focused, persistent and determined. It can be serious! (Sort of a “take no prisoners” way of being?) Until the Full Moon on 11/25, when we are urged to complete projects, take advantage of the energy – initiate, create. Just remember to smile sometimes 😎
*Scorpio New Moon: November 11, 2015- 12:47 PM EST / 9:47 AM PST
Both luminaries in the same sign means = “New Moon”. The Sun moved into ambitious, generous, enthusiastic Leo on July 22, 2015 and on Friday August 14th, the Moon will also be in the same regal Fire sign. Since this particular Moon phase is always great for beginnings, take it as a sign of encouragement to start something in the next few days. Solar driven joy and confidence bodes well for an active, energetic, creative time. Have fun with any melodrama that might ensue. (Drama doesn’t always have to be a hissy fit.)
This initiating energy lasts for approx 10 days until the Full Moon (finalize, complete projects). As the Zodiac sign changes, a different part of your chart (life) will be impacted. Next up on Saturday morning, Virgo – health, work, service.
Leo New Moon: 8/14/15 – 10:53AM EDT / 7:53AM PDT
Every month, when both luminaries, Sun and Moon, are in the same sign, the Moon is designated as “New”. Since the Lunar orb rules emotional, nurturing, Water sign Cancer, the energy is in full caring, helicopter mode. Don’t be surprised if you have urges to cook, fluff pillows, press cold damp cloths on heated brows. People can still be made “comfy” during hot, humid weather.
As always when the Moon is “New”, being inventive and creative is highlighted. So, be that with those that you are taking care of and feeding – new recipes to fill tummies without heaviness? new ways to keep friends and family hydrated and cool? (Invent a slushy flavor combination! )
Cancer New Moon July 15, 2015 – 9:24 PM EDT / 6:24 PM PDT
On Saturday April 18, 2015, the “New Moon” provides us with a great time to initiate projects and make changes. The Sun has been in Aries, the 1st sign of the Zodiac, since 3/20 and with both luminaries in this assertive, often rambunctious Fire sign, expect some volatile, combustible happenings. Beware of rash moves and acting/speaking without thinking, but since the sign is ruled by active, energetic planet Mars, you can take advantage of all that good aggressive physicality. Go for it! (But, keep the flame thrower in the closet.)
“New” energy will last a few weeks – even as the sign changes to solid, earthy Taurus. (Full Moon May 3, 2015- best time to complete what you started.)
*Aries New Moon: 2:57PM EDT – 11:57AM PDT
The same day the Sun moves into Capricorn, December 21, 2014, there will be the monthly New Moon in the same Earth sign. This Sunday, Capricorn traits will be highlighted – work, ambition, persistence. “New” energy can give us the push to start the year with plans to accomplish goals, advance a career, make space to achieve.
Even though the Moon will change signs into Aquarius on Tuesday, the influences last for about 10 days. Start something, create something, plan something.
* New Moon: 12/21/14 – 8:36 PM EST / 5:36 PM PST
Have a great weekend!
This weekend, we will be under the influences of an Aquarius Moon and it will be in its “Full” phase on Sunday August 10, 2014. Be prepared for the unexpected, the (nice?) surprise. This Air sign can be rebellious and unpredictable as it spurs us to become involved with community, special groups and their causes. Relax, go with the flow. Contribute to the universe in some way, make a difference. Be part of a team.
As always, use the Full Moon energy to complete, tie up loose ends on any outstanding projects. In the next 10 days, try to finish anything begun around the time of the New Moon July 26, 2014
Have a purposeful, fun weekend!
