“Every Little Step” – What They Do For Love!

If you like the theater and/or you dance, sing, act – you know about the audition process and how nerve wracking it can be.

“Every Little Step” is a very entertaining documentary about that very same weeding out process – whittling from thousands, down to the very few special people who were chosen for the final tryouts to be in the 2006 revival of “A Chorus Line”.

This legendary 1975 Broadway musical about dancers and their lives was conceived and directed by the late Michael Bennett.

The film gets the viewer involved and invested early on so that you start to root for them all to win the few prized spots in the show. In order to make the final cut, these young hopefuls had to be triple threat material – dancer/singer/actor.Their passion and hard work is awe inspiring.  These performers love what they do regardless of the disappointments. As one young lady said, “If you don’t have something to ‘fall back on’ you won’t fall back – you just keep going.”

Every Little Step – Excellent!

What I did For Love (by Marvin Hamlisch, Edward Lawrence Kleban):

“Kiss the day goodbye. Point me t’ward tomorrow
We did what we had to do. Won’t forget, can’t regret
What I did for love…”

Love, Luxe, Laughter – Leo New Moon!

Astro New Moon CrescentThe Sun is in Leo and the Moon will be too this weekend. On Saturday, July 26, 2014, the Lunar orb will be in its “New” phase, a great time to use the flirty, creative vibrations natural to the 5th sign off the Zodiac to start a project, enroll a special someone in your life, do an awesome presentation. Thanks to lucky Jupiter, transiting in the same sign until 2015, charm and fortune are in your corner. Put all that Solar driven joy and confidence all over people, give a performance, have fun with any melodrama that might ensue. (Drama doesn’t always have to be a hissy fit.)

This active, initiating energy lasts for approx 10 days until the Full Moon (finalize, complete projects). As the Zodiac sign changes, a different part of your chart (life) will be impacted. Next up on Sunday evening, Virgo – health, work, service.

A Leo Sun Brightens & Warms Us – 7/22/14

The Sun rules the 5th sign of the Zodiac and you can tell. With the influence of the “Sun King”, we all should feel upbeat, magnanimous, a bit more dramatic and drawn to the spotlight regardless of our actual Astrology sign. Leo urges us to be generous, attention seeking, creative and full of a lion’s pride. When the Sun struts into this regal Fire sign, expect to have some fun for the duration of its stay.

astrology_chartwheel 2Planet Jupiter, big in size and attitude, bounced into Leo on July 16, 2014 and will remain until August 11, 2015. Feelings of confidence, good fortune and largess are all traits associated with this planet and when it visits Leo, about every 12 years, the possibilities for optimism and creativity are endless. Where ever it appears in your chart, focus will be on Jupiter’s themes of expansion, “bigger is better” , etc. Money will be very easy to throw around, so rein in the urge to show off. People will be drawn to you regardless.

Another plus, interaction, written and verbal, with others will become livelier, more colorful due to communication planet Mercury’s 15 day transit of Leo beginning August 1, 2014.

However, a note of cautionary, even while being tempted with “sunny” excess, if an idea, proposition, or scheme seems just too good to be true – it just might be. Moderation and common sense works – you can still have a good time!

Sun into Leo: July 22, 2014, 5:41PM EDT / 2:41PM PDT

*Gemstone- Tiger’s Eye *Power colors- Gold, orange (Sun colors) * Body Part – Heart (…of a lion!)

**BTW: The date when the Sun transits into a sign can fluctuate year to year -19, 20, 21, 22. If born on one of these days, you are considered a cusp baby – close to two signs- but regardless, there is only one Sun sign in an Astrology chart  (however, the individual will often exhibit a combo of characteristics from both signs).

A Taurus Weekend * Love & Money!

Astro moon-waning-crescent-lIt’s a Taurus Moon beginning early Saturday morning July 19, 2014 lasting until early Monday. Feeling beautiful, stubborn and material? It might be the vibrations of this fixed, finance focused Earth sign guided by the elegant, luxury loving planet Venus. There are choices to be made about weekend plans. Either tackle those finances (how will you use your money the last 6 months of the year?) or indulge yourself, along with a significant other, with one of those delicious and decadent chocolate cakes with red raspberry filling. Money vs Romance – just remember that not all things are either/or. “AND” can often work very well too.

The determined, solid Taurus influence enables us to get things done and finish whatever was started during the impetuous Aries Moon of the previous few days. You can manage your cash and still be good to yourself and loved ones.

Make the weekend great!

Full Moon in Ambitious Capricorn!

Astro Moon FullThe Moon is in Capricorn today – it’s all about status, authority and work. To make these traits even more intense, the Lunar orb will be “Full” in this Saturn ruled sign on Saturday July 12, 2014. (The Sun is in Cancer and the Moon is lit up with reflected light in its opposite sign.) Our thoughts lean towards managing career, long term goals, creating success (whatever that means to you) and reaching for the top. Are your business strategies, actions producing results? Full Moon in Capricorn is a good time to think about it and then take any needed action when the Moon is in its “New” phase, 7/26/14.

Later this weekend, the Moon will be in Uranus ruled, freedom loving Aquarius. The 11th sign of the Zodiac urges us to be unconventional, unpredictable and unwilling to conform. If you’re going to rebel, make sure that there is substance.

Have a marvelous weekend!
